M²

For my M² project, I withdrew myself on single square meters of nature at different locations throughout Amsterdam. I explored, absorbed and decomposed every inch of those meters to reveal their wonders. I transformed the treasures I found into new tactile and textile surfaces. My reaction to globalization is to explore what kind of treasures lie right beneath my feet. Why do we always need to go for the superlative? Precisely by working in this limitation of space, I find myself experiencing greater freedom.
